That was bittersweet. I loved how Arthur was reacting to their dynamic, him waiting for the truth and being disappointed in Merlin not telling it to him. Great job.
Thank you! I like to pretend that Arthur is in truth more observant than his representation in the show. (And I realized there's nothing about Arthur's behavior that contradicts the idea. It doesn't confirm it either, but hey...) XD I know this is a somewhat silly piece, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Eeeeep! You wrote something for me? Aren't you the most adorable person I know?
Thank you for this, it was beautiful and yet bittersweet at the same time. But man, how I relate to what this is saying, in so many ways. I'll just be sitting over here, blind, deaf and dumb, all alone with Arthur. LOL! What? You mean that part of not getting Arthur isn't part of my present? :p
Thank you again, my friend! I'll not be forgetting this anytime soon. ♥
You have the permission to sit all alone with Arthur, and you don't have to be blind either. ;) If I had an Arthur, I'd totally give to you for consolation.
Actually, I wish I had an army of Arthurs and Merlins to give away to my f-list. The Arthurs would have to go through an anger management course first (so they wouldn't misbehave), and the Merlins would have to go through an "How to be honest with your friends" course, but I think they would still make for a nice and unique present. ;)
At this point I think I'd kill (not in a literal sense of the word) for any sign of Arthur's intelligence. *sigh*
I imagine Arthur placed the letter in some inconspicuous corner of his room, so Merlin would have to find it eventually (if Merlin did his cleaning work diligently enough, which we know he doesn't) and read it, hopefully without realizing the message was left there intentionally.
I didn't even expect you'd read it, and even less I expected a wonderful comment like this. (I mean, the letter is such a silly little idea.) *hugs* Thank you! <3
I'm still writing the reply to your mail. Sorry it's taking so long! (It seems that everything in my life takes too long anyway. /o\)
Heh, think what would happen if the maid had financial troubles and decided to SELL this very important letter, and imagine if this letter somehow ended up in Morgana's hands or in the hands of whomever the new villain of this season will be. Now imagine said villain reading the letter and going "TROLOLOLOL." /o\
I know the whole point of the show is Merlin hiding his magic, but I think I'd enjoy even more watching Arthur hiding that he knows about Merlin's magic. Since Arthur wouldn't be able to use magic tricks to save the day (or make people unconscious), he'd have to be really creative. Yes, I think I'd have fun watching that.

I'm sure Arthur has a soft and very smart side hidden somewhere. And apparently he expresses it in form of unsent letters.
