He listens quietly; the instructions weren't difficult to follow and he was part of the second wave anyway, things probably will have calmed down a little then. Still, the thought of harming those who were only trying to protect what was once their home was not easy for him to take. There was nothing he could do, but he hoped none of them would be harmed to badly.
As the ship pulled to a stop, he took a breath, watching as the hookshots attached themselves to the other ship. Sword at the ready, he waited for the first wave to deploy before getting ready to jump.]

Of all places I never thought I'd find myself...
[He muttered, then nodded at the now open space for Basch to make his entrance.]
Your turn, it seems.
[With that, he found a wire for himself and slid over to the enemy ship.]
[ooc: Thought since they planned on sort of hanging out this would be easier than posting my own thread. Rebel peeps, feel free to meet your match pick on us. :D]

[ Kunsel decided to deploy below deck himself, hoping to be fast enough to put first responders to sleep so he wouldn't have to harm any of them. He had been armed with a sword he had spent all of yesterday getting used to the build and balance of, and what materia he did have on him was junctioned to his bracer. Seal and blizzard, since bringing fire or thunder would result in, well, fire, and he didn't want to set the ship ablaze. Hopefully he would only have to use the seal, and--
Footsteps.
Kunsel gripped the hilt of his sword tight and shifted into a defensive stance, other hand at the ready to cast a sleep spell, when he suddenly recognized the approaching silhouette. ]
Oh shit.

[ Another thing he should've been prepared for. Because, of course, the capture of nearly the entire foreign population only meant one of several things. One, the Avaticans were just greedy bastards. Two, of course they'd capture the foreigners in an apparently successful attempt to recruit members of their army.
The irony was thick, no doubt there.
Isen had paused for only a moment, just long enough to recognize the intruder and assess the situation. He didn't lower his weapons, nor did he feel the need to say anything (because really, words were only words and held no time travelling abilities with them so why waste the breath?), merely shifting into a ready stance and waiting. Here to capture him, or kill him, soldier?
Bring it on. ]

For what short time he had served under the eccentric General, he had come to respect the man in ways reminiscent to the days when he still believed in SOLDIER. Isen had been part of what started making Solace a home to Kunsel more than some strange city they had all woken up in.
But things had changed, and no matter how much Kunsel had come to like the man, the fact remained that taking care of Zack came first and foremost. He had done what he had to do, and he regretted nothing.
Still, he wished that it hadn't come to this. That he had any choice but to fight, because he was not so naive as to think that Isen would come quietly.
He would at least try to do Isen the favor of not making any excuses, because motive didn't change what he had done, what trust he had betrayed. He flexed his grip on his sword, bringing up to show Isen he would defend himself, but did not intend to make the first move. He had already put the first piece into play by changing his allegiance. It was Isen's move now. ]We're ( ... )

[Bo-ring. He was practically yawning when Kunsel started giving them the lowdown about how to get on the ship and run-throughs and orders and be careful and blah blah blah. Who died and made him Sparda god? He never got the memo, nope.
He was one of the first onto the scene, skating down as easy as pie. He wasn't unused to it- after all, he's made other kinds of things into skateboards. Monster-skateboards powered by Red Queen, most amazing thing ever. Take that, ropes connecting ships. Alas, Red Queen, and even Blue Rose, weren't around to see this kind of fight go down. It's always more fun with his favorite weapons around. Yamato, though, was good enough company, especially when shit would really hit the fan.
Nero stalked around the deck. Not really making an effort to be quiet, since it wasn't his style. Bring it ( ... )

[It would have been stupid not to expect this ambush, but guesses could only be given as to when it would happen and would be done. Most consternating was the disabling of their weapons--but it would have been stupid not to take such measures, she knew, for had they done so the turncoats could be sure they would not hit solid ground gracefully.
As the appointed captain, Lenalee would go down with her ship and take the enemy with her.
The enemy. What a spiteful word, now that it had to be pegged on people she knew. Would this be as hard for them as it would be for her? She was fighting for freedom, so that later she could free her friends captive. What were they fighting for, she wondered? Were they bribed? Were they being controlled? Or were they doing this on their own accord, not a shred of guilt to make their hands tremble ( ... )
