This is fascinating! I love all the ghosts but wonder how Ianto ever gets around to having a private life :)
Looking forward to the next bit - your writing is marvelously pleasurable to read, thank you.

Thank you very much! As for privacy - I reckon he didn't have much of it until he figured out how to a) hide his ability and b) convince his ghostly friends to obey certain Rules of Behaviour. ;D

Loved it. I love the fact that Ianto can see and talk to ghosts and I love Damien and Corinne. Looking forwarg to the next 3 parts. Love the blooming relationship between Jack and Ianto and particularly loved how caring he was over Lisa.

Thanks! I'm especially glad that Damian etc aren't too intrusive, and that they work for you - I'm always nervy about OCs with an extended presence. Next part will be up soon!

I absolutely love this! I've been to funerals where I know that the dead person would have been horrified at the drama displayed by people he/she disliked, so the first part of the story made me chuckle. I think the best part was Lisa telling Ianto that it was okay; she was at peace. That has to be a comfort to him to have made that difficult decision to let her go. I like that the "ghosts" have become a family of sorts to Ianto -- giving him advise, teaching him skills, giving comfort, being there for him. At the same time, it must be heartbreaking especially with the children; he cannot do anything to prevent their dying, but at least he can provide them comfort as best he can. The dynamic tension between Jack and Ianto is so thick, I am not surprised that Ianto's companions can sense it. Now, the silly boy needs to do something about it. Really looking forward to the next chapters ( ... )

Thanks! Glad you're liking this so far. =D Funny story: I wrote that first scene on my ipod while waiting for a couple of (very late) friends to show. From that moment of boredom spawned... well, this. *waves hands vaguely*

I really think having the ghosts around made a lot of difference to Ianto's ability to just - accept things. He's more at peace with himself than I think canon!Ianto was, and a large part of that is things like - well, like you pointed out, Lisa being able to thank him and let go. Of course, like you also said, there's the problem of exactly how much he can do... and the fact that at the end of the day, these people are still dead.

Ooh, I read the first few Odd Thomas books ages ago, and now you've made me go want to re-read them. *laughs* Think I'll go see if I can't find them (and the next couple) at the library~
