The only reason I watch hockey is to see the big group hug at the end of the game. For some reason, it makes me unaccountably happy to see great burly athletes plowing into the centre of the ice, hugging helmets and slapping each others backs. It's just so cute.

And now the Canadian team has won the World Cup.( Yay! )

People keep passing that article around Livejournal, but I'm rather sceptical about her data. First, her data is based on 94 people, mainly *females* (like that's not going to skew the data at all... *rolls eyes*). Plus, I would suspect that the effects are not due to the nature of keeping a diary, but the personality of the diarist. Like, re-reading can be good if you're using it to grow, but you could also be looking back and going, "OMG, I did everything wrong! *sobs*" Which is not healthy ;)

*sigh* Too many variables, not enough data. Forgive the rant.

Oh, I know, I heard her on CBC radio and she was very open about how few subjects they had, and how she thought personality was a major factor and blahdiblah scientistcakes. She had a great scottish accent though...
I just thought it was funny. And it's good to rant.
