I think a lot of people are opting to take kids to malls/"safe" places instead of the neighborhood thing in some places. Which makes sense, it's easier to go to just one area instead of walking around all over. Kind of a bummer for people who buy candy, though. XD

Yeah, some of my favorite memories of Halloween was the spooky night trek! Not as spooky if you're asking for candy from a cashier at a well-lit Macy's counter, lol.

She just got two trick-or-treaters tonight!
Last night she even sat out on the balcony while playing tunes.
There is so much more excitement with going up to houses, but of course it's true about the mall and so forth being safer.
