Bummer, dude.

I was going to make a trip into town to buy packing supplies for some of the crap I actually sold on eBay and then go to the post office, but I woke up feeling like a pile of hot garbage for some reason. ;___; I dunno if it's just really bad allergies or if I legitimately have a cold...it's hard to tell for me lately ( Read more... )

I love to see neighborhood photos. thank you! And I can envision the cat even if I can't see him. hahaha

Aw, too much money for used items is a bummer. Though since it was a yard sale can one bargain? I've never done that, but I figure you can't do that at The Good Will.

Take care of yourself. have a vitamin!

Meh, people say religion is satanic now. so. w/e. I used to get it for wearing Egyptian Ahnks, but condemning paganism is a long held tradition, especially on April Fool's Day.

The cat literally froze, glared at us, and didn't move until we left her field of view. It was funny but also a little creepy. XD

I probably could've bargained, but I kinda froze up and just got the one thing. ^^; I dunno why, I guess I was just tired from the walking? lol.

I took it easy today, had tea, emergenc-e, and lots of rest. My throat's still a bit off, but I am starting to feel better at least.

I eyeroll so hard over people saying crap about Halloween, considering that how we celebrate Halloween today basically evolved from Christian influence, among other things (such as heavy commercialization). It's amazing to me that someone can just hear the comment "Oh, don't celebrate Halloween! IT'S SATANIC!" and will just believe that without trying to research it themselves. :P ( ... )

The thing is now, since the holiday has Pagan roots and has become "influenced by Christianity", I do think a school was fully justified in removing it from celebration. Which is sad, but reasonable in an era where we are really cracking down on religion in schools.

"But not Halloween!", was the cry. Nope, you can't do that. Fair is fair and school isn't obligated to make a thing out of it anyway. Careful what you wish for folks.

Actual Satan worshippers are some of the most boring people on Earth anyway, definitely not scary, just sad.

I am sick of skulls though. And celebrating death loses your charm when you've faced it several times in your life. Thanks, if it's all the same to you, I'm trying to celebrate -LIFE- here. Seriously, remember when kids could wear rainbows? Thank God I grew up in that era.

Well, if schools wanna remove Halloween celebrations, that's their thing...I don't have kids so I can't say I really have an opinion on it since that doesn't effect me. I honestly don't think there's much "religion" left to Halloween, though, so I don't think of it as a religious holiday (kinda like stuff like Thanksgiving). Though to be fair, I don't automatically associate many holidays with religion, even Easter and Christmas, simply because that was never how we celebrated it in my family (though of course now that I'm older, of course I recognize these ARE...but I still don't celebrate them in a very religious fashion.) If that makes sense? ^^;; I know that's probably odd, and I never like offending people religiously...it was just never presented to me that way. (I was aware of the Christmas story as a kid, but it never seemed like the main thing for Christmas to me--my mother always told me that Christmas was a time to spread love and cheer and help those less fortunate than us by donating to Salvation Army and Toys for Tots, ( ... )
