Why in the fruck can't she take pain killers for a month? That makes no sense to me. Especially since I was suggesting she take some beforehand. Well. Howsabout a drink? Don't ask, just do it beforehand. A shot or two just couldn't hurt (although it probably would only last for the first hour).

Needless to say, your mom is a trooper and I can see where you get your usual cheerful countenance from.

I've had that bad dreams outta nowhere thing. I'm usually nice to myself and eat chocolate when that cloud happens.

You deserve luck. Go you! Although the idea of paying back the universe is a real cherry on this luck sundae.

She can have pain pills, just not aspirin or NSAIDs because they inhibit osteoblasts laying down bone. We do the same thing for our spine patients.

Believe me, if I was there, I'd totally be there to hold her hand and make the whole process a bit less tense. (Well, I couldn't be actually IN the room when she was getting the x-rays, but I could at least be in the next room ;__;)

Urgh, sounds like a serious pain [no pun intended] for your mom and I hope she pulls through okay.

I can understand though why they say no pain killers [especially aspirin or anything with alcohol in it] because most of them are blood thinners and having thinned out blood can risk clotting times [you also run the risk of complications and bleeding out on the table, etc] but as someone who lives off pain killers because of my head, I know that's going to be a hard month for her so I wish her luck D:

More important than the blood thinner effect with bone surgery is that NSAIDs inhibit osteoblasts laying down bone. We do the same thing for our spine patients.

It's always so handy to have friends in the medical field! XD

Thanks. ;__; I do, too, it's hard to be so far away when she's going through so much. The guidelines for her surgery is strict, but hopefully it'll all be worth it in the long run. *fingers crossed*

I hate it when dreams do that to you, ugh :(.

PS. Did you get my letter? I just worry because I sent a couple to me previous "pen pal" and never received replies, that the post office likes to lose cute stationary letters?

When did you send it? I haven't gotten anything from you recently, I'm afraid. :(

Last week some time? I think it should've gotten there by now... I don't know why it wouldn't have gone through, it's a pretty small envelope but that shouldn't be a problem...I stamped it and I even used some labels to put the address correctly...let me know if you don't receive it by Friday and I'll send another one in a boring envelope and see what happens...

I get cutesy mail all the time, so I dunno if that's it...I'd be more inclined to just chalk it up to the mail being wonky (like it likes to be sometimes :[ lol)

Aw, I feel so bad for your mom. ;-; I hope in the end, she feels a ton better with a new hip!

Btw, I think you'd like Binbougami. It's a comedy, and it's all about the balance of good and bad fortune. XD
