Because cats do their best to hide when they're sick. It's not your fault: this is what cats do.

I suspect that Gord would rather see you for a little bit and have you leave than NOT see you, but I don't know him, so I don't know for sure.

I HAD to go to the vet when Abby was in. She'd refused to eat until I came around. She'd eat with so much gusto she'd practically bite my finger off (she was sick enough to require me to hand feed her, literally, with food on my finger).

Been there, done this, still feel guilty...

How did it slip by you? Because cats are masters of hiding ailments (the eat or be eaten thing, silly I know). I know now that even the smallest change is something to watch, but I didn't know that when Abby got sick.
