OK, you've all seen pictures of Gord, my Big Furry Infant, and you probably know that I lost him to feline hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease) a few months ago. ( He owned me, and we both knew it. )

Sooooo... I made apple sauce. Lots of apple sauce.

No, seriously. I needed my big damn stock pot to cook it. See, I knew I'd be making this pork roast for a nice dinner, and I wanted apple sauce and I felt kind of ambitious so I bought two big 99-cent bags of apples (assorted types) and some brown sugar and some cinnamon.

So. Gord is on IV and being force fed, and the vet says he's keeping it down. He's not making a lot of fuss right now, but I can hardly blame the poor guy. He's got a line stuck in him, and they're forcing him to eat, and he doesn't know why or where I am, etc... I OK'd some bloodwork, as the X-ray didn't show anything. Took Gord to vet. He bitched only a little, and not very stridently, and that alone is proof positive that he wasn't well.

Yep, my furry idiot is back. He came waltzing up to me as I came home from work, yelling. I took these pictures shortly after I brushed him out, as he was freaking grimy, and he's now had food and more water than I thought he could hold, and is hanging out very close to me.
