Took Gord to vet. He bitched only a little, and not very stridently, and that alone is proof positive that he wasn't well.

Tubby had this last summer: feline fatty liver syndrome. We force fed her stinkyfish water/gruel with a syringe every 2 hours because we didn't have the $300. I hope his recovery is as successful as Tubby's was.

When Abby was really sick I was scared this would happen to her. It can happen in a matter of days, if I remember right. It is reversible. Hang in there. The liver is a remarkable organ in that it can heal itself.

Also, if Gord ever goes off food again, human baby food (without garlic) is a life saver. Most any cat, even desperately sick ones, will eat it. Can't tell you how many hours I spent begging Abby to eat after her GI got screwed up (pancreatitis and IBD).
