i thought our cats were OVER this... last night, one of them (probably james brown) peed on my hubby's work clothes that he left out for this morning! and i just changed their litter yesterday. i don't get it! i know james doesn't like him, but it's unlike her to make a habit out of peeing on his stuff. it makes him so mad, and though it is a tiny ( Read more... )

Sounds like you are in a good head space. I love when we start to feel the freedom. I recently quit smoking and it was like quitting all over again (worse sometimes because the consequences arent as glaring I think) Then one day someone asked my how it was going, and I was like oh yeah, right, I quit....It felt so good to realize that I hadnt thought about smoking consciously.

I am going to have to get that book out again...I started reading Drinking A Love Story...and didnt get through it myself...cant remember why I couldnt get through it.....maybe I'll get it out during spring break

yeah, it's sort of nice... i hope it stays this way. i'm afraid it's just a temporary thing. but last night was lovely, i was able to spend time ALONE and WITHOUT DRINKING, and those things are rarities for me. it's awesome that you quit smoking; i have smoked off & on for years now too. sometimes for months at a time, and then i'll quit for months, smoke for a few... i hope that i can stop myself from falling back into that habit, too. it will feel great when i can just LIVE without thinking about whether i'm trying not to drink... i look forward to that.

yeah, i wasn't into it at first - the first few chapters bored me and i didn't like her angle, in general. but i'm starting to get interested in her story just for the sake of itself - she's a good writer and seems to have had an interesting life. it's starting to draw me in.

and you are right, i really shouldn't have worded that we can trust in god to not leave us if... but instead, god didn't leave his loyal ones then, and he won't today. that is definitely more the message. thanks for catching that. :)

I would loooooove a claw foot tub. *sigh*

I read that. It wasn't bad. Don't read Carrie Fisher's new one about drinking; total waste of time.

thanks for the tip; i'll be sure to avoid it, haha. i'm trying to weed the dumb ones out, but you sometimes pick one up without knowing.
