Oh, this scene. I was genuinely planning on a "Favourite Emily and Lorelai scenes so far" spam and I had it all planned out, and then it took me most of last night to do this one so... I gave it up because what's that? Oh yeah, I have a 3800 word essay due in on Friday and exams coming up. Anyway, this scene, I love it, it breaks my heart. ( Read more... )

Great choice. Not what you would expect from the challenge. Almost every other picspam have been major heartbreaking scenes, ship scenes or funny scenes. But this is just nice and simple but really lovely. Well done!

I agree Rory really isn't a Gilmore Girl but a Hayden by default.

I actually like Emily and I often think that she is misunderstood and no matter how much Lorelai tries to deny it, she is a lot like Emily.

Lol very true, I hadn't thought of that.

I think Emily is probably my favourite character. Rory bores me and although I really love Lorelai, I just don't think she has the depth that Emily has to her character.

when emily asked that question, a little piece of my heart broke for her, and i'm with you, i've always thought of emily/lorelai as the REAL gilmore girls
you can't not be in the moment when the two are on screen together (and i've seen all the seasons, that doesn't die as the series goes on!)

Oh my heart definitely broke to, especially the way that she asks it, like she's trying not to care what the answer is. I'm so excited to see how their relationship develops (assuming it does, I guess) when I get to see more.
