"While Baryshnikov was still in New York, Vladimir Vysotsky asked him to arrange a date with Joseph Brodsky. Misha was not very willing, but he fulfilled the request. Arranged to meet the poet at a cafe in Greenwich Village.

Marina heard this surname just by the edge of her ear somewhere, and she was not familiar with Brodsky's poems at all.
