Yet another version of Hoot to blow your mind

Okay, you know what? SM can go ahead and not have SNSD make alt versions of their songs as long as they keep letting awesome singers like these two on the Voice Korea keep doing alt versions.

I did a quick search on Kang Mi Jin, who also calls herself Yoari. According to this Tumblr post, she was originally slated to be one of the Brown Eyed Girls* but NegaNetwork decided she would fit better with a rock style and put her in a band, Sprinkler, that didn't do well commercially. The post I linked has the translation to what seems to be a nicely self-pitying, resentment-ridden set of lyrics directed at successful Idols. Maybe the company wrote it for her.

Hi spunspider. I drop in here once in a while, am pretty ignorant about things Korean. For instance, I don't know anything about these judges 'cept for what Wikipedia tells me.

*But I was under the perhaps false impression that BEG was one of the few Idol groups that actually had self-formed, Jea picking Miryo and Narsha and the three of them then choosing Ga-In. That's what Wikip claims.

Was this from one of the battle rounds - meaning that the two singers were pitted against each other and one would get eliminated?

I was under the impression 'cause of the title? MNet's channel has it titled like that too, but I've not seen other clips, so I don't know who actually went through :/

Jang Eun-a won (she's in the solid gray dress). She had a slightly stronger voice, but I'd have voted for the other, Lee Yun gyeong, whose voice was more penetrating. They're both good, of course.

I loved the different voices Yungyeong was able to do - she could affect a sort of ephemeral tone and then switch into a strong, no nonsense diva sound very easily. Not to say that Euna was any less of a singer! What makes it hard is that that performance as a whole was just fantastic. I still get so into it whenever I rewatch that clip!

Let me take a moment to keyboard smash 'cause HOMGGGGGG!! That is ridiculous!!! I wonder if they choose their songs 'cause if they did, that was both ballsy and *perfect*!!

I love how it's the men who are immediately captivated XD ROFLMAO Baek Jiyoung's *face* XDDDD

Man, so much awesome on this show!!
