In doing my Year in Fiction recap last time, I had the most fun -- and blew the most time! -- doing my TV post; and, as 2008 began drawing to a close, I sincerely looked forward to going through the same process again in putting together a TV of 2008 retrospective. Yet once work actually began... I. Wow. Holy balls, guys. I WATCH SO MUCH FRIGGEN TV ( Read more... )

Just, uhhh, don't bother yourselves with questions like, "Why couldn't they just build a BOAT instead of an island mansion??"

Heeeee, that made me laugh possibly an irrational amount. Oh, Crusoe! I'm kind of sad I stopped watching it after like three episodes due to my tragically lacking attention span! I'm sort of tempted to go back to it now. That classes are starting and I actually have stuff I have to do. Oh, me and my timing.

Oh! Oh! Not to encourage bad academic habits or anything, but you should totally catch back up with this show! Plus, I mean, it's only like a half dozen episodes or something... temptaaaation... ;)

Type all you want about Chuck! I dig that show so much!

My TV goals for the next year are aided and abetted by you: watch Pushing Daisies, DS9 and Mad Men in order (I've only watched a couple episodes here and there)!

I'm so glad to have a Chuck ally! That was kind of my building, unexpected background obsession of this year, as it somehow went from innocuous fun weekly viewing to AHHHH NEED NEW EPISODES! in a very very short amount of time. I'm super excited about all of the new spoiler blurbs that have been coming out for the back half of the season, too. How does this show always manage to nab the most awesome guest stars?

Hee, well, I am nothing if not an enabler! XD I think Mad Men is a pretty easy show to watch on a condensed, sped-up-by-DVD schedule and then catch up in a week or two. Deep Space Nine, though, took me... umm... over two years, I guess to watch all of it -- mostly due to the fact that I was relying on SpikeTV reruns and they messed around with the schedule a lot last year, much to my frustration! -- but also because it's just kind of this HUGE STORY with so many characters and a lot to digest, but oh so very worth the time put into it. :)
