Chapter 2
Ryeowook's finger hovered hesitantly over the 'call' button, while he considered his decision once again. Part of him wanted to do it, but the other was shying away from his actions as well. In the end, he cleared the number from the screen and sighed exasperatedly as he allowed his phone to drop next to him on the bed. Ryeowook puckered his lips and blew his fringe out of his eyes so that he could gain a better view of the ceiling above him.
It had been more than a month since he had first bumped into Kyoungmi in one of the hallways of the SM Entertainment building, where he also inadvertently received her phone number because she wanted to pay him back for the spectacles that she thought she had ruined. And that was also the last time he had seen her around as well, since like today, he didn't quite have the courage to dial her number. Sometimes, he hated himself for being so fidgety around Kyoungmi, though he suspects that it was because of his little fanboy crush on her.
However, Ryeowook knew that there was a very slim chance for him to meet Kyoungmi at the SME building after that one lucky encounter with her. That was because he had mustered his courage this one time to ask Kibum about the acting classes for the actors and actresses, and found out that those classes don't usually take place in the main building.

Initially, Ryeowook was split between the options to ask either Heechul or Kibum about those schedules, since they were actors before being put into Super Junior 05, so that definitely meant that they have joined those acting classes before. Nonetheless, Heechul was struck off the list almost as soon as he was being considered, because Ryeowook had a nagging feeling that the older male wasn't quite fond of him.
Furthermore, Kibum was definitely the better person to ask, since he was known to be a quiet person even among all the other rowdy members. He felt that the secret might be safe with the male who was precisely two months younger than he was. Ryeowook still couldn't help but blush a deep shade of red when Kibum raised an eyebrow at him the moment the question left his mouth, though he was thankful that the latter still helpfully gave him the information that he needed.

Ryeowook jumped and clutched his aching chest in surprise when Leeteuk's face suddenly hovered over him - he didn't even realize that the leader had walked into the room while he was lost in his thoughts. "Ah hyung! You scared me!" he gasped.
"Huh? I called you numerous times but you didn't answer me, so I thought you were sleeping," Leeteuk commented with a puzzled expression, and the younger male's mouth curled up into an 'o' shape. "Anyway, are you ready? Seunghwan hyung said that we should leave for the dinner right now," he said again, but turned around to leave the room without waiting for the other male to reply, obviously rushing to the other rooms to pull the remaining members out. Ryeowook propped himself up on the bed with his elbow and sighed exhaustedly once again, but dragged himself out of the door anyway.

After going around greeting the company's VIPs and posing for photographs for the media, Ryeowook followed Sungmin towards the wine table and grabbed a glass of champagne for himself. It was SME's eleventh anniversary celebration dinner, but Ryeowook knew that most of the members weren't really in the mood to attend it in the first place - mainly for two reasons. The first was because they had just completed a performance earlier in the evening, and were only allowed to go home to take a short rest and freshen up before being ushered to the venue of the dinner once again. Besides, which young male would like to hang out with people much older than them while being accompanied by the annoying flashes from cameras on Valentine's Day?
Ryeowook allowed his eyes to glance lazily over the large crowd of people as he sipped on his champagne, slowly counting down to the time that they could finally return to the dorms and get their much-needed sleep. He didn't even notice that there was a certain petite figure that crept up behind him and tapped him on his shoulder.
For the second time that day, Ryeowook nearly jumped out of his skin, and he heaved a sigh of relief when he managed to catch the champagne glass that slipped from his grip before it managed to crash into pieces onto the floor. "Honestly, what's so fun about scaring people anyway?" Ryeowook wondered grumpily and turned around to see who the culprit was, only to feel his mouth turning dry the moment the view of a radiant smile was registered in his senses.
It was none other than Baek Kyoungmi, beaming happily at him. She looked breathtaking tonight with her lavender-coloured halter neck dress and minimal make-up; her brown locks also hung loosely by the sides of her face, accentuating the beautiful jawline which she possessed.
"Annyeonghaseyo Ryeowook-sshi! Ah- Did I get your name right?" Kyoungmi greeted brightly one moment, then looked a little hesitant the next. He fought the urge to pinch her cheeks, because damn, she was adorable.
"Ah- yes, that's right, Kyoungmi-sshi. H-how have you been?" Ryeowook swallowed the non-existent lump in his throat, and forced himself to at least say something before he would embarrass himself further, but groaned inwardly when he practically stuttered the entire way.
"Life's been kind on me, thank you for asking," she smiled, and then suddenly peeked around him. Ryeowook turned around, following her gaze, and realized that his group members were all standing behind, looking between him and Kyoungmi with surprised expressions.
"Oh, that's right - I saw you on TV! You're Super Junior 05, right?" Kyoungmi asked once again, and bowed deeply before introducing herself formally. "Annyeonghaseyo, my name is Baek Kyoungmi. It's nice to finally meet you."
"Nice to meet you too, Kyoungmi-sshi," Leeteuk answered on behalf of his group members, whom all smiled politely in response. He then turned to face Ryeowook with an amused smile. "Ryeowook-sshi, why didn't you tell us that you knew Kyoungmi-sshi?" he grinned, not really bothered to conceal the plan that was brewing in his mind. The other Super Junior 05 members also looked at the eternal maknae eagerly, causing him to blush.
"I - uh, I'll tell you guys later? Would you please excuse us for a short moment?" Ryeowook managed to squeak, before pulling Kyoungmi away by the wrist from his group members to save himself from the imminent interrogation.
"That's one sneaky little brat right there. I'm surprised," Kangin mused as he and the other ten boys looked on at Ryeowook and Kyoungmi's retreating backs, all nodding thoughtfully at his words.
