Kevin is in the library, pouring over a heavy book written on chain theory, looking for anything possible on how to break contracts. There are more recourses for the human than there are for the monster, it seems, though that shouldn't surprise him. No one seems to care much about the well being of chains.

He looks up when he hears footsteps
