Thoughts become things

Lately I have been feeling terribly isolated.  I work alone during the day and have little interaction at night with Maurice.  He is too exhausted to talk, and basically wants to shut down completely when he gets home.  I can't blame him though, he works a 12 to 14 hour day on average.

I believe in the law of attraction, I know it is important to ( Read more... )

Go with it. Throw yourself your own personal pity party. Wallow in it. Eat chocolate and ice cream, and make cocktails. Cry, rant, beat your chest, scream at nothing. It's OK to feel depressed/overwhelmed/isolated sometimes. Take it to the limit for one night.

Get up the next morning and leave that behind you. Take a walk in the sunshine and smell the roses. You are powerful and capable of making positive changes in your life.

You haven't been posting as often this past year either (this says the queen of lack-of-post) but it's noticeable.

Have you ever read S.A.R.K.?

Anyway howlgirls is right: "You are powerful and capable of making positive changes in your life." I think the first step is the first step. take a step.

Find some inspiration. Do something you're afraid to do but you think may make you smile.

traditional mood lighteners:
epsom salt bath, 1-3 x weekly, 15 minutes duration. If you haven't got a bathtub, do a foot soak daily with the salts.
sunshine- 15 mins/day of sunlight on the face, arms, & legs w/out sunscreen. do this in the AM or late afternoon to prevent sunburn.
B-vitamins. These can cause irritability in some people. If you notice that reaction, try a smaller dose.
chamomile- that tea does more than just relax you, for reals.
a bit of lavender, peppermint, vanilla, or a combination thereof, applied to pressure points, or the scent inhaled.

You might also consider St. John's Wort.
Also, most communities have free/sliding scale mental health care. Walmart and Target have 4 dollar generics for drugs like Prozac. I know that finding the energy to seek such things out is one of the hardest things imaginable.

You are a wonderful woman, Roxy. Take care of you.

I have no words of wisdom for you.

However, know that I am here for you- you can talk to me about it over and over and over and I will never tell you that I've heard it too much.

Because I love you.

:)
