Meet My Parents / 2 Year Mark

Two nights ago, Nicole finally met my parents after a month of date shifting. The four of us struck out for an evening meal at a local restaurant after meeting at the family house in Hillsboro. It was exactly as I expected it to be: Low impact, casual, friendly and short. Don't get me wrong: This was a great evening and everyone had a great time.

Hey! I haven't been on in years! How are you?

Hey you! Holy crap, I thought you were lost to the world! Welcome back! I think, overall, my life is actually pretty damn great. There are a few things that I wish were a touch better, but those are the things that would only change with having lots and lots of money. So if that's my only complaint, I'd say I'm doing wonderfully. How about you? Where have you been for four years?

I'll have to go back and catch up. I just randomly got on yesterday. I got married in 2009 and have two babies! My daughter is 2 and I had a boy back in May. I work as needed at the hospital and spend most of my time focusing on being a mom. Never saw myself at this point. But it's been a blast. I'm thinking about starting a blog about my experiences. My daughter had a stroke during my pregnancy and thought about writing about our experience. I miss writing!

Whoa, you have done a lot of living in the short years since you left LJ! That's unreal. Seems like just yesterday. Are you thinking of starting up a new LiveJournal or going somewhere else to blog? It sounds like you'd have a lot to write about!
