A Book's Final Line / "Into the Wild" / More Valanko Gossip

If there were ever a movie adaptation of any book I'd ever write, Supertramp would have to be used at least once. Possibly twice. Especially "Goodbye Stranger" and "Breakfast in America." Yea, eBay are crazy times. What can you do. It just bites to have to sit here and wait when I could be in Boise doing /something/. As for Val and Franko, I think they're both being dramatic out of some attention grab. I dunno. I can't imagine what they're going through, but the road goes both ways and a relationship that lasts 12 whole years without a marriage is probably laden with red flags the rest of us don't see.

I know my journal probably isn't the place to comment on one of your journal's entries, but while I have your attention, I do have to say that your little sister is ridiculously adorable. Those expressions are priceless. Thanks for sharing the photos!

I understand being worshipped by stereotypical gamer-nerds may not sound appealing to everyone, but a lot of vulnerable people with low self-esteem see it as the ultimate escape from reality. Some people drink, some people sit in casinos all day, and some people enjoy being worshipped by the opposite sex through a video game. I, personally, have no trouble imagining how someone could get addicted to the attention because--and you have to believe me on this--they're not all inept losers. And there is a certain chauvinism online too. From what I've seen, men fall all over themselves to offer to fight alongside a woman-gamer. They'll even take the lead and offer all the credit to their princess. I'm using general terms, but this happens every moment of every day ( ... )

Isn't it a bunch of petty mothers who wait for Wiis outside Freddy's Tuesday mornings? Or have those days past and now it's the slacker teens? Hehehehe ( ... )
