Wow! On one hand, congratulations to Franko for getting the job! On the other hand...yes, that would be awkward to have your siblings in different states. If they go to Detroit, they can see how it is, if they like it--and if not, they can return, right? Whichever way it turns out, I wish Val and Franko much success.

Yup, I guess it'd just be something I'd have to get used to. I don't know if they'd be able to return. If Franko decides to take the job, they'll sell their house here and move out there completely. If Franko suddenly decided he didn't want the job, I'm not sure how easy it would be to come home. If Franko eventually did lose the job in Detroit, coming home would be that much harder.

It would be weird at first, since it'd mean you wouldn't be able to go down a few miles to see her anymore. It would be hard to come back to OR if Detroit doesn't work out. At the same time, I think the change of scenery might be good for your sis and him. You never know what possibilities await!

Well, they don't really need the change of scenery. Every other weekend, they take weekend trips somewhere, usually to Seattle. Why, this coming weekend, for instance, they're off to Seattle for three days of kicking back and getting away. I think Detroit will be just another vacation to them. I dunno.
