New York City - some thoughts

Apr 27, 2008 22:04

I've just returned from my umpteenth trip to New York City.  I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the warm weather and sunshine.  So much so, a walk on a beach and sticking my short toes in the Atlantic Ocean were in order.

I met Jeannie (

I really did have a wonderful time. The trip is always too short. I wish I was still in the city. :)

hi snomore,
glad you enjoyed spring awakening. it is my favorite show and i have seen it numberous times as i live in nj. you were also lucky to see it before the two leads (wendla and melchior)leave on may 18.
i saw randys play also. his part isn't that big but i enjoyed it. i got to meet him afterward also. were you able to?
i thought he was beautiful. when he smiled i really saw why he was called sunshine on qaf. he was dazzling.
he was also very nice. i saw the last one he did also, edward the II.

hi teresa,

how are you?

i was too shy to wait to meet randy afterwards. i'm sure i would have made a fool of myself. therefore, i tried to soak up every moment he was onstage. i especially liked viewing his bare feet and his beautiful hands. :)

i just read last night that the two leads in Spring Awakening are leaving soon. i'm very lucky to have seen it with them still performing. you haven't seen the show 22 times like a girl i spoke to that night? lol

hi robin,
i am good. and you?
luckily i was with three other friends when i met randy so we all said a few words to him so it went okay.
and regarding spring awakening i have seen it more than 22 times.
there is another girl i have met there who has seen it over three hundred times. to me that is way too excessive. i mean i don't think she does anything else. i see pretty much every show out there plus i do other things too. i think i would get to hate it if i saw it that much.

That is excessive. lol I would like to see it again, and go from there.

I saw Miss Saigon five times. I would have seen it every trip if it hadn't closed in 2001.

I think you're lucky to live near NYC and all that it offers.

Robin, I'm so glad you had, from your description, a wonderful time in NYC and were able to see all of those shows. You must be reeling from the experience. I hope you post the pics from your trip.

Dear,
I'm reeling, but also feeling quite sad. I am not a person who can hardly wait to return home. :)

I'm uploading my pics to my laptop now. As mentioned to other friends, you may be sorry you agreed to look at the pics. lol

Thank you, Cindy.
I hope you have a chance to visit New York City. It really is quite an experience for everyone. And, I have a feeling, not many people are disappointed.

I'm glad you had such a great time! :)

As I said on IM yesterday, I'm sure you would have loved another week in NY, but we're all glad to have you back. You were missed!

I really did have a great time. The warm and sunny weather really enhanced our trip.

I missed you and the girls as well. If I had sent postcards, they all would have said "wish you were here". :)

*hugs*
