It was a joy to hear someone doing a nice long Shakespearean speech that didn't rush the lines, or sacrifice the meaning of the speech just to emphasize the bloody iambic pentameter. And consonants! He pronounces all of 'em! *sighs with pleasure*
The reviewers that think that's too posh can just bite me.
He really does put emotion into it and enunciates so *clearly*. I love that. But then again, I'm one of those annoying people who talk like books:P. The reviewers can piss off; a Hamlet who spoke in a Mancunian accent would be too blah. It looks like they've stripped a lot of the glamour from the production anyway, so I'm glad they haven't de-prettified the language.
