I've recently watched two Tara era Avengers eps: Stay Tuned (with Roger Delgado and Kate O'Mara) and what's supposed to be the worst Avengers episode ever: Homicide and Old Lace. Yes, hoorah for massive British TV actor crossover! Hlaf the time we watch anything and mother's all "Oooh. he was in an episode of the Avengers."

Now, I remember, it was when we were watching some lovely Brett Holmes she was playing "Spot the character actor."

Mother only has all of Emma Peel on DVD though. Tara and Mrs Gale she still has her taped-off-TV versions. Alas a lot of the Gale episodes are getting rather warped and unwatchable. Including one with Nick Courtney, which upsets me greatly. Ah well, there's still the Emma-era ep with Courtney where he gets shrunk and washed down a drain. :(

The best Doctor Who/Avengers mindfuck is Pertwee as a Brigadier. *twitch* notrightnotrightnotright

I miss the Avengers... I've probably seen those episodes - I watched a LOT with my parents when I was young - but I wouldn't have recognised people then.
