Tom Felton Is Mean

Sep 08, 2009 11:09

So, one of my co-workers went to DragonCon this past weekend. He saw Tom Felton speak at a panel, and said he seemed nice but....

One of his friends ran into TF at the hotel, and said something like, "Hey you look familiar....You're Draco Malfoy!" and he told her to fuck off.

Not nice!

It was at a hotel after the con, and he was drunk/hungover. :(

My friend saw him at a panel, and said he was really nice. So maybe he was just feeling bad and didn't want to talk. Still, no need to cuss at someone!

Perhaps this may dishearten a few "I LOVE TOM FELTON SO MUCHHH!!11!!" stalkers fan girls. Although, I doubt it. The whole "being a celebrity is hard!" deal and all.

It is hard, but you can politely ask ppl to leave you alone if you don't want to talk. Especially when YOU went to a fan event. :(

Nnnnnnnot nice, no! I mean, he was at a hotel at a CON. He should know that fans would potentially be all over him 24/7 and although I can see why it could be annoying to constantly have ppl go "Hey, you're Draco Malfoy!!!" that certainly wasn't the time to assert the right to some privacy.

Supposedly, he was drunk/hungover...but still. Stay in your room if you don't feel like being polite to your fans at a convention!

I have to wonder why people expect this guy to be anything else. I mean, A) actors are generally asses, and B) this particular actor plays a spectacular ass. It's his claim to fame.
WTF, Harry Potter nerds? Why do you take leave of your senses so easily.

He's usually pretty nice! That's why I was surprised.

I'm not saying it's a cause-and-effect relationship. I'm saying it's something one could easily see a correlation for.
