Lately I've been turning over some thoughts in my head and reflecting. Just a year or two ago I was a person with a rich personal life that was a lot more interesting than my job -- I looked forward to getting home from work every day because the days lasted so long, and everything I wanted to do was away from work. Although I poured some time and ( Read more... )

Thanks, I appreciate that :)

Yeah I have thought of taking some classes like that. My last two cert exams supercede that because they expire in April 2009. Basically I took MCSD classes back in 2006-2007, then took three out of five of the total exams and passed (to obtain an MCAD - sort of a lesser cert). Now I can take the last two and get the MCSD before the exams age out, and Microsoft will let me pay a lot less money to do it.

... yeah, certifications are fun... I haven't really been in the mood to study SQL every night though. ;) but anyways, i DO want to get into learning how to play the guitar, or take an art class or something. It's a great idea. And a lot more fun than technical studies.

I consider you a very good friend, totally! And if your personal life has any flaws, it's an excess of awesome. o_o

I started to make a comment about the real world, but I used that one up already so I won't say it again. It's boring here. I would also suggest a class...not certifications or anything having to do with education at all, but something FUN. Like an exercise class, or a drawing class, or dancing. Maybe bowling. There are tons of things to do.

You're right about the friendship thing going both ways.
