More complaints about breastfeeding

I'm totally out of it. And the lamest thing is that I only realised it when I logged online and typed in www.licejournal.com (that's not so bad), then www.email.com (instead of myspace.com). Mum's looking after Leith for a couple of hours so we can shop around pharmacies for some electric breast pumps to hire. I have to express after every feed,

I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding, and I may have been single and living alone but you know what? People will always help single mums. I get less outside support now. Off that, though. I got mastitis, I couldn't latch my baby on right, I had a flat nipple and it didn't work so well to begin with, and then I got mastitis again but this time with a mass of cracks and blood, and my boob swelled to around twice the size of the other one for 4 days straight. It was unable to be covered with a bra, or my maternity clothes. I had my boobs out (or under a sheet, depending on the visitor) all the time. And I'm telling you this because it gets better. I breastfed for 9 months.

Did you call the counsellor? They are wonderful. You're on some good drugs to increase supply too. Maybe just give it time to work? I hope you can relax and enjoy yourself a bit.
