//10 The heat of the day

Aug 02, 2008 23:00

It's nice to have the ground beneath one's feet again. It would be extremely uncomfortable to wear one of those suits in this weather! Many of the people here had trouble adjusting to the weightlessness, I think-that's probably why the medical team has had so much work lately ( Read more... )

It's not hot for the hot springs. It's NEVER hot for the hot springs.

Dinner party? I'm up for that.

I'm in section 3 with no roommates so far, so I could host...though it might be more pleasant to hold it outside.

Holy CRAP.

How'd you score that?

I'm on the medical team. As for roommates...I suppose it's as simple as no one's opted to share adjacent spaces so far.

Hey, it's still good to hear from you.

A dinner party would be fun...I'm sure I could manage to bring something.

Such as your charming self and a harem full of handsome men?

Man--you too with the harem thing?

You have to admit it's true.

I must say, Kazahana! A dinner party sounds like a most brilliant notion.

I'm not quite the sort you should trust to make something, but I can certainly bring something. And I would be quite pleased to assist in any other way you might require as well.

An evening of food and conversation! Really, it sounds delightful.

I'm so glad you think so! And don't worry, I'm sure there are many ways you could assist.

Yeah, definitely don't trust Argent with that kind of business, Kazahana. Though I think I might be able to scrounge something together. Nothing too flash, but it'd get the job done.

Either that or I could bring beverages, though probably nothing of the alcoholic kind, because apparently Argent thinks I'm a lush.

If you don't mind another warm body, I'd love to ride in on Argent's coattails, Kazahana. We could definitely do a social gathering trade-off. We've got a poker night trying to work itself out in Section Four -- wanna come?

Don't be silly, Throne. We're friends. You're always welcome.

That sounds like fun! Though you'll have to teach me the rules.

[OOC: Last line is lies. Rukia = total poker shark as far as I'm concerned. She grew up with a bunch of dirt poor boys, how else were they gonna have fun? And if she remembers the rules...]

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that, part of me wanted to assume, but I didn't want to make an ass of myself, so I figured better to play it safe.

As for poker, it's totally awesome, though I'm not the best at keeping a straight face when I play. That's why my money's riding on Argent. But when you come visit, I can show you a hand or two, no sweat.

[ ooc :: OH HO HO. there's an on-going bet right now to see who can win against who Stone-faced Drake or Vague-faced Argent. Argent unfortunately doesn't know how to play poker, so Throne's trying to crash-course him so he doesn't utterly fail. THOUGH I'm starting to think it should be Allen Walker vs. Kahazana now. EPIC CARD SHARKING. ]

So you don't like the dangerous side?

I can't wait. I'm sure you'll be a good teacher.

[OOC: SO VERY EPIC]

Floating was fun, but walking is good too.

You do know that if you get too toasty down there you're welcome to drop by our place, yes?
