//10 The heat of the day

Aug 02, 2008 23:00

It's nice to have the ground beneath one's feet again. It would be extremely uncomfortable to wear one of those suits in this weather! Many of the people here had trouble adjusting to the weightlessness, I think-that's probably why the medical team has had so much work lately ( Read more... )

Hey, it's still good to hear from you.

A dinner party would be fun...I'm sure I could manage to bring something.

Such as your charming self and a harem full of handsome men?

Man--you too with the harem thing?

You have to admit it's true.

Well...it just feels strange, that's all.

I wouldn't worry about it, Bastet. I was just teasing, but I won't if it bothers you.

[ooc: I find it hilarious that I didn't know about the harem convo before I made the comment.]

Nah, it doesn't bother me. If they don't care, I don't care. Actually, even if they did care, I'd still find it funny.

(ooc: XDD Seriously. EVERYONE WAS THINKING IT BUT HER.)

It's good to keep a sense of humor.

How are you dealing with the heat?

Well, it's not so bad. When I can't take it anymore, I just run up to see the boys in Section 4--they've got air conditioning. Otherwise, I've taken a knife to a couple pairs of pants, and I found something at the clothing stall that will work fine too.

Oh, that sounds wonderful! I may have to take advantage of their hospitality myself. I've just been dressing as lightly as possible.

Doors are always open to you, Kazahana. I'm sure Argent would love the company, and you'd get to meet KC face-to-smushed-kitty-face as it were. Though, if you do swing round, let me know ahead of time, so I can try to get off shift to say hi.

Oh, I do want to meet the kitten! And his brothers and sisters. They sound adorable.

Are you free at all tomorrow?

child_proteus August 3 2008, 04:35:32 UTC
Oh, Kazahana, all of the other kittens are gone already -- which is a real shame because I know Nova wanted to play with them too. Apparently the siren song of a little furball to call one's own was too difficult to resist, so they all got snatched up right away.

So all that's left is our little KC. But he's a real charmer, even though he's not a looker.

Oh, that's no problem-I don't know that I'd be a good pet owner anyway. But I'd love to see them in their new homes.

What does KC stand for?

Ah, well, Argent started it -- but I'm pretty sure that it stands for "kitty cat". Kind of like the way I call him G and Bastet B and Drake D. It's a little bit of an homage, I think. Only in kitty cat form -- with a smushed-up face.
