I wanted to let all of you know that Kiba, Blood, Range and I made it back safely. The spider that killed Bastet and Snap is dead, along with its mate-it might have been part of the attack, too-and their babies. There was a whole nest there, but it's gone now. We came away with a few injuries, but everyone will be fine

It was a good thing we went; even if they don't venture this far down the tree often, there were quite a few young spiders there. But not anymore.

I keep wanting to go tell Bastet about it, and then remembering I can't. Especially since something...interesting happened with my sword.
