Gosh, this shawl took a long time to knit. I cast on more than a year ago, but after about two feet, it spent many months bagged up safe from all the building/plastering dust. Now, at last, it is finished.
The pattern is Knitty's
Cozy and the yarn is Noro Silk Garden.

That's a cunning noticeboard. Not only can you have Evil Plans, but they can be Sekrit Evil Plans!
So your aunt made the quilt for your and P's engagement? What an absolutely lovely thing to do - and to have. It's really nice that you can have it out and in use where you'll see it so much.

My aunt's quilts are amazing. Have you seen the one she made for our wedding present? Judy's all-round awesome, most of the crafting she does is for charity - either to sell for fundraising or tiny hospital clothes for the preemie baby unit. She really doesn't charge enough for her work either. £5 for stunning handmade bags that would easily fetch £50 (and probably £500 in the right parts of London).

I know opinions differ on Noro stuff - I've used Kureyon and Silk Garden and found both of them lovely to work with, but my hands aren't particularly sensitive to scratchy. There's some bits left over if you'd like to knit up a swatch and see how you get on with it.

Now, if only the spare bed converted into a sports car my spy hideout would be complete!
