Silk Garden Shawl

Oct 28, 2007 00:10

Gosh, this shawl took a long time to knit. I cast on more than a year ago, but after about two feet, it spent many months bagged up safe from all the building/plastering dust. Now, at last, it is finished.

The pattern is Knitty's Cozy and the yarn is Noro Silk Garden.

I'm very pleased with it.

And while I'm taking pictures in my office, here's my new noticeboard:

When it's a guest room (or if I'm just not in a plotting mood), it's pretty paper from Paperchase's fancy papers department.

But flip it over and there are Evil Plans. Well, okay, a sewing pattern and a flyer with a photo of an ice-skating cocktail waiter, but it only went up today, there'll be Plans soon enough.

And here's the loveliest thing in my office - an engagement quilt made by my Aunty Judy.
