Would have been the day of  this announcement.

They were sending someone out to watch them.

It had been quite the wake up call to read that message before battle and it made waiting to see when Mauritz would try showing up hell. Of course something would happen just after he started getting into something so stupid.

The first time he saw the Medic there was a good deal of distance between them. One well placed bullet later he was able to ensure that Mauritz would have to start his journey again from the BLU respawn room. A few more deaths passed by and the look of determination alongside a little irritation and confusion on his face was becoming clearly viable through the scope.

Hugh knew he couldn't keep Mauritz away forever. He had a knack for finding him and no matter where he was there was always another route to get around. With the disproportionate number of deaths he would know that Mauritz would want to talk when they came face to face. He didn't want to say what he knew full well would have to be said, especially when he knew Maur's tendency towards not seeing orders from their employers as a valid reason to cut off contact.

If anything he would be even more stubborn considering the current nature of their... relationship. He wasn't exactly sure what to call it, they never discussed it, if it was referred to at all it was merely "this".

I like this. I want this. This is perfect.

"We can't keep doing this." It was said while he stood at the top of the staircase down into the swears. Gun aimed at a man clutching his bleeding chest, struggling to breath, sinking to his knees and soon to be dead. "It has to be back to business. Nothing but business. You understand."

Mauritz was too far gone to answer back before dying.

Just as well. It was time for Hugh to get back to work and do his very best to avoid getting that close again.
