And I'm totally with you on that eagerness that always came with picking classes for the next semester. I'll actually miss taking classes I think. It's been a real luxury to spend the last several years just absorbing as much information as I could!

When I was first out of college, I had such a bad taste in my mouth that I knew I didn't want to go back. After a few years passed, though, I wanted it really bad!!! I love school. I wish I had loved it as much back then. :)

Take the courses because you want to learn and will enjoy them, not because it will further your career or help you get into nursing school. If learning and fun is not on the agenda, I say just skip em.

The up side of any of this is that I would probably enjoy most of those classes even if they stress me out. (Medical Terminology sounds like a major yawner.)

On a purely selfish level, I'm all for biomedical ethics, because you'd totally liven up the lunchroom, but not nutrition, because then I might find out from you exactly how bad the stuff I eat actually is.

Believe me - I am the one with the most to personally be afraid of from nutrition class. I eat such crap.

I too, had understood that nursing school programs can be hard to get into. I'd aim for at least a 3.25... but then again, it probably wouldn't hurt to apply anyway- especially if the poorer grades are obviously from an era past.
