We lost Runty McGee last night, sometime between 2-6am. When I tried to take her away and wrap her up in a washcloth, Harvey got upset. She started crying and licking her baby, and even pulled her out of my lap to take her back to the box. Yeah, I know there's a good reason cats have so many litters with so many kittens; insurance. I just hoped she'd at least live long enough to open her eyes.

I don't think losing a bottle baby is something I'll ever stop feeling bad about. But I tried. Poor stunted Runty.

I'm really sorry to hear that Nicole! I love you and I shall hope for the best for all the other kittens and Harvey!
