Okay...... so. Some of you know that my brother had surgery on his shoulder after he crashed really badly in New Mexico. The update on that is that he tore the labrum off and is in a sling recovering. Last night, though, we got the letter from the insurance provider to say how much we owe. It said $21,000. Yes, twenty one THOUSAND dollars. So

weemp womp that sucks. i would say i'd get my lawyers on their ass, but we do insurance DEFENSE. which means out job would be to sue you. weemp womp.

Hospitals don't always mention these little details. The same exact thing happened with my father, except that the bill is in the six digits rather than five.

There really needs to be more communication.
