Okay...... so. Some of you know that my brother had surgery on his shoulder after he crashed really badly in New Mexico. The update on that is that he tore the labrum off and is in a sling recovering. Last night, though, we got the letter from the insurance provider to say how much we owe. It said $21,000. Yes, twenty one THOUSAND dollars. So, we don't really know what to do right now. Apparently the surgery center doesn't accept our insurance provider. But the doctor did, and he referred Drew to that surgery center, and no one ever told us that they don't take Blue Shield. We even got a letter from the surgery place saying that we will owe $2,400 (which is our deductible, so they obviously talked to our insurance) if we had insurance and were in good standing with them. We do and we are. So today my mom is going to make some calls....
