It's been this way every year and we've never had artists complain about the amount of time before.

If artists need more time after art is due (and we don't ask for the art to be complete, just to see that there is something done or there will be something done) then we make sure to schedule the author and artist team later in the posting schedule so they have more time to work on the art.

That is completely fine and like I said if any artist finds themselves needing more time as the deadline approaches all that have to do is let us know and we will work to schedule them latter on in the posting to give them more time.

If multiple artists find themselves needing more time we are completely willing to extended the challenge. It's the same if we end up with multiple authors needing an extra week or two to finish.

How hard are you on the fusion rules? I started my fics a few weeks ago, and I read up on the round 3 rules. Back then it was allowed, so I thought I could go through with my idea. I'm writing a fusion with the movie Due Date with Sam and Gabriel taking over the roles of Peter and Ethan. I am making a few references to the movie, and the actors in it, but it's hard to know where to draw the line. There aren't that many characters in the movie who could smoothly be put into the fic. Just wondering if it still would be okay to continue writing it. I hope so! :3

We're determining on a case by case basis. We want to encourage authors to write crossovers and not fusions but we will allow authors to bend the rules a little and just include at least one character from the other fandom, or reference an event that happened in the fandom.

We aren't going to be too strict on this rules because this challenge was created in the first place in response to the spn_j2_bigbang not allowing crossovers and we want to allow any crossover/fusion type story that would be turned away there.

We haven't specified that they can. In some big bangs there is a separate track for authors and artists who want to work together (and skip the whole claims process) that we haven't put in place here. Artist sign ups are going pretty slow though so we're going to allow it.

Just make sure when you send in your rough draft that you include a note that you already have an artist and don't need your story to go into claims.

Completely allowed, as long as SPN is prominent in the story.
