I have a question regarding fics - can they take place in verses from other fics we've written, or do they have to be something entirely new?

It can take place in fic verses you've written before but the words have to be new, or at least half of them have to be new and unseen.

Oh, of course, definitely! I just have an idea taking place in the same verse as a fic I recently posted, so I was hoping I would be able to work on it for this challenge :D Thanks!

Hello,

I was looking at possibly signing up for the artist challenge, but I only do videos. :) Is it possible to sign up for artist and just do videos and not icons/banner/etc.

Cheers!

Videos are fine! They are still considered a form of art, and since its a lot different then other kinds of art you will only have to do one piece for the author you get.

Is it strictly just SPN or can it be RPF as well?

It has to be SPN to count as a crossover, SPN RPF doesn't count as SPN. So you could write Supernatural/SPN RPF and that would be a crossover, but SPN RPF/Harry Potter wouldn't be. Hope that clears it up for you.

I figured as much. SPN/J2 Big Bang sent me over here because they consider what I'm trying to do a crossover, but it wouldn't work here either. Thanks anyway :)

Maybe explain what you're trying to do and we'll work with you or find a way to make it work.

I'm thinking of signing up, but I need to double-check something first. My story wouldn't be done in a traditional story style; it would be a policeman's transcription of tapes left over after Sam and Dean were out of the situation. Like, seeing what happened through the camera's eye view. The story would be more script/transcription style, the cop reporting on what he sees. Are stories like that allowed?

That sounds interesting and is completely fine, as long as the end result is more than 15,000 words.
