1)I've just finished reading Learning by Spark of Chaos, wherin Harry is trained by Snape to withstand torture etc. and although very angsty in places, it does have a happy ending. So are there any other fics with a similar theme where Snape has to do all these horrible things to Harry in order to help him cope if he does in fact get captured by ( Read more... )

The closest author I can think of is Rushlight. It's not quite meeting your description but Snape does have to do horrible things to keep Harry safe. And the writing is captivating.

Er...I meant to say Snape has to do horrible things to Harry to keep him safe from DE's and Voldemort. Harry comes to accept what he doesn't understand....

Nope. Although it is a great story....I was talking about Through A Shattered Mirror & Walking The Mirror's Edge. I'm pretty sure those are the titles. The first one is the entire story from Harry's POV and he is completely in the dark about what Snape is doing to him. The second is from Snape's POV and the guilt he feels for taking Harry's innocence and not being able to explain why. It's fascinating to see the same events through different eyes.... If you haven't read them then also know Draco is there too but it works...

Since I don't read WIPs, I can't promise you that Kibatsu's 'Night of the Gethsemane' fits your describtion, but I think this might be a fiction you could enjoy.

Kibatsu's jounal is here: http://kibatsu.livejournal.com/

Ah, for #2, Perfica's The Care of Infants is a great read.

Does #3 exist? Interesting plot line.
