Brilliant. (Not!)
CenturyLink decided that some of my email looked "suspicious" last week, so they suspended my account. Now, as it happens, I don't use my centurylink email account directly. I send mail out through my own server, and it logs into my CenturyLink account and ships my messages on their way, so when my account was blocked, my outgoing mail was piling ( Read more... ) -
A Cooking C-cret That Will Blow. Your. Mind!
Or at least, it blew some of my friends' minds, and I say that with only slight exaggeration. When I revealed my secret late last spring (2023) at a reception at Verne & Wells, one of the people listening did the "mind blown" gesture involving their fingers springing away from their skull.

A friend of mine posted a link to an article in Facebook about Tokyo police capturing drug-running drones with net-bearing drones, and then the crooks using their own capture-drones to bring down the police drones. It's rather amusing, but it reminded me of the "solution" to drone overflight that I'd thought of a few years ago.

So after not quite two years of fairly unsatisfactory media service from CenturyLink, they're coming tomorrow to make some changes. One of them is to move us from their fancy-schmancy Prism television service back to DirecTV.
