This is such a vivid moment, so well realized. I understand Severus' confusion; of course he'd never feel himself worthy. I really like this (not least because it's always good to see Severus realizing how badly he's screwed up). Thank you for this, and that tiny unicorn and its dam. *loves unicorns*

What a deeply moving entry! So sad how Severus condemnes himself.... And a nice touch to have Lucius there, disillusioned about the Death Eaters Cause as well and worried about his son.

The price they're about to pay is not worth the little benefit there is in being a marked Death Eater. At least Lucius and Severus realize the dangers to Draco and Harry are more than they would ever expect.

The unicorn... such a lovely touch. Mayhaps there is some redemption available...

What a poignant piece, MA! Full of emotion and glimpses of hope amid the bleak. How wretchedly like Severus to continue searching for answers, and all because he cannot accept that he might be worthy of a freely given gift. And, oh, I am glad that Lucius helps him return to Hogwarts, despite the the horrors and the shadow that loom over them.
