i came in 5th in my age group - last year that time would have gotten me third! the winning times in that AG were really blazing - all sub 1.20. oh well. but still, i'm very happy, it's a 5 or 6 minute improvement over last year (i missed the start (they moved it and told me the wrong place), so i don't know my real time).it's the recovery that ( Read more... )

Nice one, well done, a good improvement over last year!

Did you age up this year? Were you comparing your A/G for the same a/g as last year or what you would have done last year in your new a/g?

For the Cactus Challenge triathlon in April I easily have the fastest time for my new 50-54 A/G if I can get over my ankle problems and put in a half decent run, compared to last years times. The problem is that the winner of last years 45-49 a/g is also aging up and he was quick... so thats 2nd place at best if he registers!

i age up for tris but not until september for road racing. two of the the women who placed in 45-49 were 49 - they're just plain fast! if i can hold it together for next year, i might make it, but of course they'll all be aging up with me!
