Oh, the Myra1 Love to the Myra! I don't think you're a theater SNOB, exactly, perhaps a connoisouer (I can't spell french words). I'm sure it was a great play in terms of the issues it dealt with, but because you are educated in the ways of theater, you can see the more technical flaws of the crafting or whatever. Other people are just ignorant, always will be, and you'll just have to deal with them. I have the same thing with theater, also belly dance, and my way of dealing is to point out the positive, and say how great I think it is that people are into it and trying to express themselves, blah blah blah, but point out that there is a different level of the artform, a very high level that involves a lot of devotion and study, and that I appreciate that a bit more

i am sorry i disappeared while you were talking with me the other night
i tried to send an email adressing the topic, i don't know if it got thru.
if only it were as easy as saying "if you're gonna be a twat, i'm just not gonna let you get to me anymore". it's rarely that simple tho. at least you can recognize he's being a twat.

as for the play, i'm GLAD you can tell the difference. it's really frustrating me that EVERYONE i'm meeting after these promos is like "oh, it was great". i know it wasn't, now tell me what i'm not seeing dammit!!!
you are a valuable breed of person, and it's a shame you weren't able to provide constructive criticism to the artists.
