Seriously, the stuff going on around the Republican National Convention is horrible.  And, as far as I can tell, the major media outlets merely mentioned the arrest of "rioters," "violent protesters," and the like.  Nothing about journalists or innocent bystanders.  And need I say that the news I've seen has all implied that the arrests of all the

Yeah. I told my parents about it (they hadn't heard anything, not being livejournal people), and they were unpleasantly reminded of the '68 Democratic National Convention. Except that the problems there were national news.
