HAHAHAHAHA! Lists are impossible cause they make us tired, but also soooo necessary so we don't forget stuff. And btw - final report on Ages?

Persian Garb apolloniavoss June 3 2008, 21:42:51 UTC
I've made a set of Persian for an ex who was Queen's Champion to Roxanne II. I have some great links (mostly hers) and my coat and collar weren't half bad. Are you doing embroidery? It was mucho fun.

What is WW and when is it?

How serious are you in your use of linen and silk for this project? A friend who was in the royal household for Darius and Roxanne I, just gave me her garb. Some of it is linen blend, one layer is silk, the outer layer is definitely manmade-fiber-rich.

I can ship the outfit to you if your measurements match and you want the stuff. It is pretty. Let me know, as I am not sure if I will wear much of it. I've gotten into the feel of linen and silk against my skin. mmmmm......

WW is Warlords and Warriors. It's pretty much the biggest event of the year here in Northshield & takes place July 10-13 this year.

I've not decided how much (if any) embroidery I'll be doing on the Persian garb I'm making. I am thinking it'll be mostly camping garb and a little on the plain side. I really want to make it because later this summer we have an event where I'm on a team that will be making at least 1 Persian outfit from 10pm - 6pm the next day. Should be a lot of fun!!

While I am not married to using all silks and linens, I do prefer them as well. Then again, who am I to turn my nose up at an offer of free garb?! LOL I wear a size 14-16 depending, and can get you actual mesurements if needed.

Sheesh, I have 1, 2, 3, and 5 on my list, and I feel overwhelmed by just that. I did #10, but as a substitute I have "must unpack both my and my child's summertime clothes and pack away wintertime." And then I get to do #10 to it.
