10-Year Anniversary!

Mar 13, 2011 20:10

Hi LJ! I know I have been AWOL and uncommunicative but I realized that today is my TEN YEAR anniversary of creating my journal and I wanted to say HI! and THANK YOU! and I LOVE YOU ALL! and all those other things. I have met some of my best friends here. I have talked about awesome times and lousy times and times that, in grand scheme of things, ( Read more... )

OMG yay anniversary! *throws confetti* *\o/*

I have many good ones, but they tend to blur together! But I'll never forget sitting in the rare pairing panel room at con.txt what was it, three years ago? And hearing somebody behind me talking about how they managed to get their minions (my word) to write them Sumner/Weir. And I went OMG THAT'S SMITTY--and immediately turned around and said something idiotic to you. Because you make me flail and turn into a giddy crazy person. <3

Eeeeee! I remember that! I don't remember what you said but I remember you waving at me and I grabbed your hand maybe? Because I think you had JUST written Showmanship and I was all, "!!!" Because you are fabulous and you liked my crack pairing and you even WROTE IT.

*hugs* Thank you! I am so glad LJ has given me a chance to know you!

Happy blogiversary? :)

My memory of you is going mini-golfing together, and the oodles of trash talking, and just generally having an awesome time together.

Thanks!

Oh, man, if they gave awards for trash talk, that day would have gone down in history...and I don't even remember who won. You did, didn't you? But yeah, the trash talk was epic and then we hung out and discussed the high and low points of the Birds of Prey tv show.

See, I seem to remember you winning.

And I'm sad that the low points outweighed the high. But at least Shemar Moore's career managed to take off!

OMG! YAY! You!

I can't remember which I read first, Cause of Snow or A Willing Sympathizer but once I read them I was off and running and reading absolutely everything of yours and wojelah's I could get my hands on. I became an instant fangirl, rapturous over your every word.

I, um, sort of felt almost stalkerish over how much I would read and reread your Prentiss/Rossi stuff. Then when I posted Dressed for Dinner and you commented? I nearly died...I was seriously giddy and like WOOOO!!!! BNF and majorly talented writer just commented on my stupid little story.

There are a thousand things I could say, but I really just want to thank you. You have been an amazing friend to me and you have taught me so much about writing and given me so much inspiration and so much to aspire to.

It's been almost two years since I first read A Willing Sympathizer but I fangirl you even more now as a writer and a friend. You have been an amazing force in my life in a short period of time.

Happy Anniversary!

Oh man, I have no idea how I would have gotten through the couple years without you! You have such amazing perspective on everything and such grace - even when you feel like you don't. I am so blessed to have you as a friend and confidante and writing buddy. I love talking about our beloved characters with you and seeing what new things you are doing with them.

♥ Thank you!

WHERE DO I START? So so many memories. We first met when you posted something that included something about Delaware and I was like fangirl in Delaware! Must friend! :-) And then I realized how awesome you are. :-)

Barnes and Noble! Shopping Trips! Apartment Hunting! Fic! Horrible Fic of Manly Awesomeness! *AMDC! Writing comments while sitting in the same room! HONG KONG 97!

ETA - the Grotto's conversation about Rodney and Vala and the pervy people next to us! SUMNER/WEIR! All the AWESOME things you have written for me! And who could forget the Courting Sweater???

I was reading Scenes From a Friendship earlier tonight and I think there were hearts sparkling around my head. ♥

I remember when you were all, "I am in Delaware, too!" and I thought, "oh...what if she's crazy?" And then you turned out to be AWESOME and also one of my BEST FRIENDS EVER.

HONG KONG 97. BLISS. OTHER REALLY HORRIBLE THINGS.

Oh, man, the Grotto's conversation! The dating site people! So crazy! You totally getting me through law school by sitting on my couch with me when I was feeling horrible, and telling me stories and sending me flowcharts and so many other things. Sam and Marlowe and tacky jewelry at Kohl's that Rodney would give Laura, and the SWEATER BOOTS.

Srsly. The Courting Sweater. Every memory we have is a classic. :D

Wow, ten years. Happy anniversary.

I have a lot of happy memories of you, but I'm going to go with staying up till the crack of dawn chatting about the Justice League High School AU. (Bruce hiding behind the bleachers writing terrible poetry--good times, good times.)

And I'm pretty sure I have known you even longer than that! Thank you!

Bruce and his emo goth poetry!!! You know, I borrowed a disk reader a while back so I could dump everything I had on 3.5" disks onto a flash drive and I'm pretty sure I've got it allllllll on there. Stand by for spammage. Um. When I find the right flash drive.

I still have no job so I am being a hermit but we really should hang out soon! *hugs*

I have most of it saved myself--I cracked up when I went back through the chats and found you citing a movie with Joseph Gordon Levitt in it. :) And it's still a really adorable AU.

I would love to see you sometime--I was just thinking I should email you.

(Actually, while I'm thinking about it, I'm going to see STAGE DOOR at the AFI theater this Wednesday; are you interested?)

OMG, was it 10 Things I Hate About You? Because I totally bought that movie a few months back.

And it's still a really adorable AU.

It totally is. I feel like we could still do something with it. And its cast of THOUSANDS.

Oooh. I just looked it up because I haven't seen it and Ginger Rogers retrospective! Katharine Hepburn! Lucille Ball! Sign me up.
