Okay, I didn't see the previous episode and I will, it's on my Tivo, I'm just behind and I wish to avoid the negativity that seemed associated with that ep. But I didn't see the leaked version of this one and the response looks pretty positive, which makes me happy. So.

I think it was a Trans-Am? Or an IROC-Z. Late 80's sports car.

It was definitely an interesting AU episode. I'm still pondering if this Rodney was Rod from McKay and Mrs Miller and he *lied* about Mensa Geek John.

I don't think this Rodney was Rod - Rodney's hair was much more fabulous. ;)

it was an 80s Camaro. My cousin had one just like it. Seriously though, I can't believe they left him for dead!

Thank you! That's pretty awesome - you must have had to suck up to your cousin big time there for a while. ;) But it's EDGY! It's VEGAS! Also I think the Flan was really jonesing for a good death scene, you know? He's been trying to die for Atlantis for a long time.

Those weren't F-302s. According to my Dad, they were A-10 Warthogs.

Yep, your dad is totally right! I rewatched Vegas before Enemy at the Gate last night and apparently? I just looked up and thought, "Airplanes in an SG ep! Must be 302s!" Thanks!

I have no idea about the car, but the dozen different ~filming techniques~ made me roll my eyes. (And okay, I totally giggled at 'The Beautiful People', bit.)

Also, I'm denial about John being dead. The Daedalus totally beamed him up and then he got better and then he and Rodney made out and that's that.

Haha, yeah, the we are stylish filmmakers! bits made me laugh.

I'm strangely okay with John being dead because the Flan was so clearly in love with his death scene there. Also because he is not our John and having never found Atlantis CLEARLY HAD NOTHING TO LIVE FOR. Except Rodney, but maybe - okay and so I totally had a bad thought about how John pays "Mikey" off, re gambling debts and I am SO going to hell. Yes.
