Okay, it's official - you've completely converted me to Weir/Sumner. I love this. Completely believable, realistically sweet, and - oh yeah - smokin' hot. :)

"I will carry you," he said, moving to her other hand. "Not like I don't haul your unconscious ass all over the city once a week anyway."... and following.

Best post-coital banter ever.

I love that he's been kind of pining, willing to accept what he could get and wondering if he deserved more.

*beams* Thank you!

I think he's been aware that she would have to come to her own decision and thinks he should stay out of it. (Although I suspect she would have ditched Simon LONG ago if Mack had bothered to say anything.)

PS: On the matter of Annie making me write stuff - when I start talking about writing Sam/Thor, the smackdown goes in HER direction. ;)

Thor-the-Asgard? If you write that, you both get smackdowns. ;)

If he had said something in Atlantis, would she have dropped him entirely out of renewed loyalty to Simon? (I suspect she would have and Mack knew that, but that's my take and you're the author.)

Okay, I have to admit, this pretty much makes it worth it.

I think if he said something in Atlantis she would have ended it citing chain of command problems, because it would have made it serious and with the Siege coming, she didn't want to order him off to die. But since they were just "being comfort" until they went boom, she could tell herself it was something else. (They get together - again - after Before I Sleep and she sends Simon the video message letting him go two episodes later.) And actually, now that I think about it, when they get back to Earth and she sees Simon again...there's the bit where the guilt complex and renewed loyalty set in. And you're right - Mack would have seen that one coming a mile away.

I love how much fun they have together as you write them.

Aw, thank you! I think they're people who don't get to have fun very often and that makes their time together even better.

*beam* Thank you! I just love them SO MUCH. (I'm trying to figure out how to time a thing-a-thon so that the due dates lands on my birthday. *cough*)

"I'm crazy in love with you," he said, his voice rough. "You know that, don't you?"

I actually welled up at that.

I love this so, so much. So hot, and so warm, with great banter and all the hints of alterna-Atlantis goings-on. :)

*hugs you tightly* Aw!

Thank you so much! I'm falling more pathetically in love with them every time I write them. :)
