[SGA] (untitled Weir/Sumner ficlet)

Apr 17, 2007 00:59

This may someday be part of something larger, but it's not much other than IM spam at this point. I...meant to write a lot of other stuff tonight but instead I wrote this to raisintorte on IM when I was supposed to be doing my taxes. I blame shetiger for drabbling for me and putting me in the mood for something like this.

To follow All That I Can't Leave Behind. ( Read more... )

"Come on in," Elizabeth invited with a sigh. "Let's get this show on the road."

I wonder if she feels like the ringmaster, or the driver of the clown car.

YAY!

I'm thinking clown car myself. :)

Thanks!

I'd like this to become a real epic parallel to the series, but these glimpses are cool too.

Wow, thank you! I'd like to do that someday but I have such a lot of other things started, I think it would be a long time until I get there. :)

Yeah, you're definitely doing it better than I ever did. I love your Sumner, both as man and marine.

"Sheppard," he said brusquely. "Get your ass back in here."

For some reason, this pleased me immensely.

Aw, thank you! What I always liked about your version, though, was how Sumner was dealing with John and trying to turn him into the officer he needed to be. I'm totally hiding from that by a) using Elizabeth's POV and b) setting this early, while Sumner is still recovering from the sucking puncture wounds in his chest. If I have to write Sumner and Sheppard actually doing something, the sun may fall out of the sky. There's something appealing about watching Sheppard take orders instead of ignoring them.

Sheppard fidgeted. "Isn't wasn't like there were a lot of people in the gateroom," he mumbled.

Hehehe. Poor John.

Yay! IM fic got posted. :-) I didn't realize it was this long.

710 words! Poor John. He is not the top dog.

*hugs* Thanks for making me write this!
